Gemstone Mala
Mala (Sanskrit for "meditation garland") is a prayer garland very similar to a rosary that traditionally has 108 beads and 1 Guru bead. The mala is used by practicing a mantra or prayer 108 times by counting each bead. In Sanskrit, mantras are repeated and are thought to raise the physical vibration of the body by sending a healing energy through the energetic meridians of the body. There are many reasons as to why 108 is considered a sacred number with one being that there are 108 energetic meridians flowing to the heart chakra. Smaller versions of a mala are created with 54 beads, or even smaller versions to add the beads up to the number 9.
The Guru bead is the bead that brings the left and right side of the mala together. Guru in Sanskrit means "the One who brings light into the darkness" and this is your spiritual teacher. The Guru bead is thought to hold the intention for your prayer practice.
A tassel is sometimes attached below the Guru bead and symbolizes the 1,000 petals of the sacred lotus flower. The lotus flower spiritually represents the human experience as the roots of the lotus are in muddy waters but the flower emerges floating beautifully transformed in the realm of the Spirit on the surface of the water.
Traditionally, Hindus and Buddhist used beads that were carved from sandalwood seeds or rudraksha seeds. In current times, many people choose to connect to malas made from gemstones as each stone carries its own vibrational frequency and energetic way to support the individual.
I create these malas with the guidance of my intuition and place positive healing energy into each piece.

Gemstone bracelets are equally as supportive as malas. The energetic properties of the gemstones can help support the individual. In ancient times, gemstones were utilized for their protective and healing energy.

Each crystal or gemstone emits a measurable frequency measured in hertz. The frequency of the crystal or gemstone interacts with the biofield of the individual and creates a balancing effect.
The crystal or gemstone typically correlates to a different part of the chakra system as some help balance the energy of the mind, while others may help with grounding energy moving energy towards the feet chakras.
